#369: synchronization problems...

 Priority: normal | Milestone: 2.6
Component: core | Version: 2.5.5
Severity: normal | Keywords: synchronize, synchronization, sync, timezone
----------------------------------+-----------------------------------------
I know there have been many tickets about synchronization. this is both
 CORE and INTERFACE related.

 -- see ticket #249
i have the same problem, but the remote file timestamps are +0100 instead
 of GMT (UTC).

-- as a result of the timezone problem, selecting any of the buttons
(download, upload, mirror) initiate a download from the remote directory
 to the local directory.

-- (an interface ajustment could be made on the synchronize confirmation
screen: instead of reading "files missing" it could read "files modified"
or something of the sort, because not just absent files, but modified
files are synchronized as well.) and making the list visible in a
 hierarchy (tree) format

 -- see ticket #69
a "synchonization" section could be created in the "transfers" preference
tab, containing options such as a defining default local directory,
directories (remotely and locally) to always exclude, etc--this all may be
useful for a future autosynchronizing feature (that would be really nice.)

again, thank you for a wonderful program, and we are all very very glad
you have made this for us and at no cost for your time. =)
