#642: I can't FTP to my HDD..also can't setup my account on the fourm

 Ok first I haven't seen a E-mail to setup my account for the forum, and
 second I can't FTP at all from my apple to another PC using a crossover
 cable.  I have dropped both firewalls, PASV off and using port 21.  I then
 am able to see the drives as a whole but when I click to enter
 them...nothing shows up?  Just C E X Y Z drives folders are shown, and
 again I am not able to see what is in the files?  I have the right IP (can
 see the drives) so I changed the IP to another # same deal as before.  Now
 I turned the PASV both on and off on both PC and apple at the same time
 and no go.  I download the 2.6 ver cyberduck..any help even just the
 account setup for the fourm so I can ask around would be great.  I am
 currently using another FTP but would really like starting using your full
 time (read alot of good things)  Please help
