 The "Check for update..." menu item always reports that it's up to date.
 The automatically check for updates (in preferences) doesn't work either.
 This has been broken for several versions now.  :-)

 While it may seem trivial, it's important for users who don't check the
 version sites (versiontracker.com or uptodate.com) on a regular basis.
