 Was experiencing this issue as well with CyberDuck 2.6 on a MacBook Pro
 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM,sometimes with every other updownload, to the point where
 the app was unusable.

 Transferring multiple files seemed to exacerbate the problem, so I
 attempted to transfer a single file at a time as a quick workaround. Still
 experienced frequent crashes (perhaps one every ten or so transfers).

 Found a version of 2.5.5 and installed that, which seems to run rock solid
 for the most part.
