New description:

Whenever I use Quick Look over FTP with a file that contains `$` (for
 instance NBA_boscore$20081104.txt), the display says:
 `cat: /var/folders/{rand}/{morerand}/-Tmp-/:{almost_filename}: No such
 folder or directory`
(where (almost_filename} is the file name without the "$" and next
character -- `NBA_boscore$20081104.txt` would would show as
`NBA_boscore0081104.txt`). Sometimes the folderpath starts at `/private`

Files in the same directory without the `$` in the name display correctly.
