 I have set up the dashboard widget.

 I drop a file on the dahsboard widget (I do not get a green + sign)

 The duck bounces a few times and then Cyberduck opens, logs in and opens
 the correct path in the connection window

 The file does not upload, does not show in the transfers window.  I left
 it a while in case it was uploading in secret (!) but it doesn't

 I use Leopard 10.6.1
