* platform: => Mac OS X 10.6
Comment:
For example, an AppleScript might [http://intimzdes01.co.cc/]open a photo
in a photo-editing application; reduce its resolution; add a border; add a
photo credit; export a Web-ready copy; write a Web
[http://intimzdes02.co.cc/] link for the photo into a text editor then
[http://intimzdes03.co.cc/] move on to the next photo in the set and
[http://intimzdes04.co.cc/] so on through hundreds or thousands of photos,
creating a Web-ready photo gallery. The script might then upload the
gallery to the user's Web site [http://intimzdes05.co.cc/] using an FTP
client. For the user, hundreds of steps in multiple applications with
potentially thousands of documents have been reduced to one: run a script.
A large complex script could be developed to run only once, while other
scripts are used again and again, further leveraging the development time
to make it a trivial consideration.
