 Hi,

 my uploads takes ridiculous long because changing the permit of the file
 slowing down the process. IT takes about 1 Min to change the permits of 1
 file and that is not acceptable in my opinion. I had to delete some files
 on my server due to an update and now I want to upload the new files which
 have a size of about 7 MB in all. It's been taking more than 5 hours and
 the process is still not finished. All this time my website is down and
 that' pretty sad. I already checked all my firewall settings and I can't
 find a problem there.
 Can you please tell me if that is normal and if not how i can fix the
 problem? I use a ftp connection with ssl security. Connecting isn't a
 problem but transferring files is taking way too long.
