 Thanks for the detailed analysis! I certainly hope that will bring us
 closer to find the cause of the issue. In the meantime, could you try the
 following. Open a Terminal.app window and paste

 {{{
 defaults write ch.sudo.cyberduck path.normalize.unicode true
 }}}

 Restart Cyberduck. Let me know if that makes any difference. I'll have a
 closer look next week.
