 CyberDuck can upload files to a write-only directory but it yields an
 error message stating that the user does not have access to the dir. In
 fact, the file does get uploaded to the dir, thus the error message is
 incorrect. It is also true that this error occurs with at least one other
 FTP client.

 I have been uploading to Pair Networks FTP server.
