 I tried your workaround, but I had no luck.  Connection is still refused.

 I should add that the connection is actually to an iPad, it is used by an
 iPad app to copy files to it.  I don't actually have a password.

 As for your fix in r13744, could you please provide me with instructions
 on how to apply that?  I am new to a mac.
