After updating to 4.4 (from 4.2) on OS X 10.9, opening the Preferences
pane immediately causes the app ~~to crash~~ and my system to hang until I
 can force quit the app.

No crash report had previously been generated since I was force quitting
the app each time (though it was listed as "Not Responding" within the
 Force Quit window).
I replicated the issue (opening prefs on 4.4), let my system hang without
force quitting and after about 15 minutes the Cyberduck warnings stopped
in Console and everything was back to normal, the preference pane in
Cyberduck was now open and I could use everything normally. Closing and
reopening the preferences pane didn't cause any issues. However, if I quit
Cyberduck, re-open and then once again attempt to open the preferences
pane, the same issue crops up again.
I apologize for what in retrospect is a misleading title for the bug
ticket - the app itself doesn't crash, it just hangs my system to the
point where it's unusable unless I wait 15 minutes or force quit
 Cyberduck.

I will modify this ticket title to reflect the actual issue.
