 During a large download, the Transfers window repeatedly freezes up.

 The download progress stops updating, and I can no longer select different
 items in the window by clicking on them.

 Curiously, if I scroll the window by swiping two fingers on the trackpad,
 the current transfer refreshes for a second and then freezes again.

 This problem, combined with consistent timeouts (I am seeing the same
 problem described in ticket #8740), has prompted me to switch to
 FileZilla.
