 This behaviour is not limited to the steps outlined below, but this is the
 most recent process I've been through that causes the UI to stall and
 otherwise behave slowly.

 1. Login to an Amazon AWS account
 2. Navigate to a folder in a bucket with a reasonable number of items (in
 my case ~250 files).
 3. Press CMD+A. Interface locks for around 2-3 seconds.
 4. Press CMD+I. Interface locks for a further 2-3 seconds.
 5. Change a permission setting. Close button on dialog takes 1-2 seconds
 to respond.

 This issue gets progressively worse if you repeat 3-5 across a number of
 folders on the bucket.
