 Hello,

 when I start a transfer it kicks off with normal bandwidth but rapidly
 slows down to 10kb and less and finally cuts off the connection.

 It's kinda weird since i.e. filezilla keeps it up.

 I am a registered user of cyberduck. So it's a bit of a downer since I
 can't really use it.

 I hope you have some hints to improve the situation.
