Comment (by dkocher):

 A ZIP is much easier as it will unpack automatically when downloaded using
 ''Safari'' with the application ready to be used from the ''Downloads''
 folder.  Disk images are still a confusing thing for the average user. We
 can produce a `PKG` installer if that would help.
