Comment:

 Ah Ha!  Figured out the issue.  BitDefender is flagging the installer as
 containing 2 trojens.  I'm going to assume these are both false positives
 and that you'll need to contact them to get the signatures adjusted so
 your software is no longer flagged?

 In the meantime, disabling BitDefender allows for the
 install/uninstall/repair/upgrade process to work.
