 OK, I found the solution - the log was the hint I needed. I tried to
 download to a folder where Cyberduck had no write rights. Now it's working
 perfect!

 Thank you very much for your help, the ticket can be closed.

 As a suggestion: It would be helpful if the error message showed the
 location Cyberduck tries to write to.
