 MacOS X 10.4.11, Cyberduck 3.2.1.

I have checked `common problems' and searched the bug report database. I
cannot find any mention of this problem.

I can connect to ftp.tex.ac.uk via the Finder.

Attempting to connect to the same server using Cyberduck (anonymous login)
 results in:

 I/O Error: Connection failed.
 ftp://ftp.tex.ac.uk
 Read timed out.

Before that message appears, I see `Login successful' in the status bar
(?) at the bottom of the Cyberduck window, then it announces a retry, then
login successful again. Finally, the error message appears.

The transcript that appears is as follows:

230-may be confusing your ftp client.
 230-
230-This is the UK node of the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN).
230-The other participating hosts in the CTAN and their root CTAN
 230-directories are:
 230- dante.ctan.org tex-archive
 230- tug.ctan.org tex-archive
230-In order to reduce network load, it is recommended that you use
230-the CTAN host which is located in the closest proximity to your
230-site. The file CTAN.sites lists known mirrors of CTAN.
 230-
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
