 I get asked frequently by friends of mine who run small businesses about
 advertising strategy. Today, there are so many tools at a business owner's
 fingertips that enable them to advertise their small business effectively

 growing a small business will happen. You also gain the advantage of
 looking critically at your business on a regular basis. Which bring us to
 the next question.

 Identify your target audience. It's imperative that you understand exactly
 who needs your service or product. Mass marketing does not work in today's
 business environment. Not only does it force you to water down your
 advertising message to please the masses, but it's much too expensive for
 the shoestring marketer.

 As you develop more skills and disciplines you are building your back up.
 And, when you have more back up you have more confidence. Now, when a new
 challenge comes along you are ready.
